Elijah Riley
My name is Elijah Riley, and I am a Conservation Storyteller.
Born and raised in Lincoln, Nebraska, I currently attend the University of Nebraska-Lincoln, studying Agricultural and Environmental Sciences Communications and Entrepreneurship in the Engler program. As a photographer, videographer, and ultimately a storyteller, I illustrate stories about the natural world through photos, videos, and thoughtful words. My intent is to educate audiences about natural resources and inspire them to explore nature.
Big Gumdrop Outdoors (BGO) is the realization of my passion and vision. BGO was founded to educate urban youth about nature and inspire them to explore the great outdoors. BGO is a non-profit organization based in Lincoln, Nebraska. We address a significant issue: today’s youth spend an average of 7.5 hours per day in front of screens, leading to a disconnect from the natural world and a lack of diversity in the outdoor industry.
